STATION STAFFING

Station 401 is located at 851 E. Broad St., Pataskala, Ohio.  Station 1 currently houses the Administration offices, shift officers, and four (4) firefighter/paramedics. Station 1’s equipment is:  two advanced life support (ALS) medic units, one rescue, one Battalion Chief’s vehicle, the District’s UTV and one grass truck. This station is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. The Administration Offices are staffed 7 a.m. through 5 p.m.; Monday through Friday, in the lower level of the fire house.

Station 402 – Closed February 2018

Station 402 was originally located at 120 N. Fourth St., Kirkersville, Ohio  In November of 2016, Station 2 moved to the current location at 7072 National Road, Etna, Ohio.

This site houses our firefighter/paramedics, the Fire Marshal Bureau along with a training facilities. This fire station is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year and houses three (3) firefighters a day. The campus has a house that is used for rescue situations, a concrete pad to simulate extrication  scenarios and a pond that we use for water training.  Station 2’s equipment is one advanced life support (ALS) medic unit, and one fire engine.

Station 404 – Moved to new location

Station 404 was opened in July 2016 and was located at 7821 Taylor Road, Suite B in Reynoldsburg.  It was staffed with three (3) firefighter/paramedics.  Station 4’s equipment is one advanced life support (ALS) medic unit and a first responder vehicle.

Station 405 firehouse opened October of 2018.  It houses three (3) firefighter/paramedics and is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  Station 5’s equipment is a fire engine along with an advanced life support (ALS) medic.

Station 406

Our newest addition to the District.  In August 2022, the Refugee Canyon Fire District Board voted to join West Licking Fire District. Station 6’s equipment is a rescue, advanced life support (ALS) medic, UTV and a watercraft unit. This station houses five (5) firefighter/paramedics and is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

EQUIPMENT

The District operates with three fire engines, a tower and two rescues that are housed at various Stations around the District. Each engine holds many different pieces of equipment necessary for firefighting and rescue tasks.  Each engine holds 1,000 gallons of water. The rescue has various and in-depth tools to handle an auto extrication, water rescue, etc.

The District has a Tower or Ladder Truck that has a 200 gallon tank and a 2,000 gpm pump. This apparatus also carries numerous types of equipment that aid the firefighters in fire and rescue situations.

Another District truck is the Rescue. This truck is equipped with tools used for auto accidents, high and low-angle rescue, confined-space rescue, water rescue, and assists in fire ground operations.

Grass 401 is a 1999 Dodge Ram modified for grass fires. This truck has a 100 gallon tank and an assortment of hand tools

WLJFD equips six Medic units. With the equipment that each Medic carries, the firefighter/paramedics can handle any emergency medical call, from minor injuries to major trauma, and heart attacks.
